private-investigator-austin-18I have 41 years of law enforcement experience with the Rutherford County, Tennessee, Sheriff’s Office, 3 years active duty as an Army Police Officer and 6 years with the U.S. Army Reserves.

I started as a Deputy Sheriff in 1977 with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and progressed up through the ranks to become the Deputy Chief of Law Enforcement Operations, 2nd in command.  As Deputy Chief I consulted and reviewed the operations of each Division within the office including the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, the Adult Detention Center (1000 prisoners), Judicial/Courtroom Security, Communications, School Resource Office, Narcotics Investigations and the Warrants and Records Division.

I was responsible for meeting with each Divisional Commander reviewing and assisting with their operational activities, resolving problems, giving direction or advice to communicate down through the ranks of an overall staff of approximately 500. I held this position until retiring from public law enforcement on September the 18th, 2015.
